Excerpts from my coming animated short which explores the boundaries between the digital and physical world. In an effort to convey what it feels like to lose track of your surroundings and enter the digital space, I ask questions about what happens to our body as we go there? Do we take it with us? How do we register the experiences we have online? Are they stored in the same place as other memories? I aim to avoid making the film feel two dimensional by not using obvious internet iconography and by trying to give the objects a real physicality and weight. I use a mixture of traditional (physical) and digital methods to mirror the themes within the film.
