Power Plant, Identity

Algae holds the potential to provide solutions for the global challenges of the 21rst century (energy, climate, food security). Unlike a terrestrial plant, it avoids intensive water usage and creates an alternative solution to over-cultivation.The identity design for this exhibition relies on the duality of its name: Power Plant. The exhibition plays with the idea that top-secret folders were discovered, revealing algae as a viable resource for future food, paper, fuel, textiles and air purification. The viewer is invited to investigate and interact with the set design through his experience in the museum.

Girl, Woman, Other Book Cover

The visual language chosen for this book cover proposal was derived from archival research of protest signs and theatre posters. The cover was partially letterpress printed using grotesque fonts and assembled and edited digitally, reflecting the strong, daring, bold voices of the characters in the novel.
